AZL-8000i Series systems (MiTAC R2520G6 / R1520G6 platforms) provide onboard video through a Mini DisplayPort connector on the rear of the system, driven by the BMC's graphics controller. The following adapters and cables have been tested with AZL-8000i Series systems and confirmed to work reliably.
Important: HDMI adapters and cables must be Active
The Mini DisplayPort output on these systems is native DisplayPort only — it does not support dual-mode (DP++) signaling. This means:
- Passive Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters and cables will not work (no video signal).
- An Active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter or cable is required. Active products contain a built-in signal converter and are typically labeled "Active" or rated for 4K@60Hz or higher.
- Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapters are active by design and are not affected by this requirement.
- A direct Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable connected to a DisplayPort monitor also works, since no conversion is needed.

Note 1: These are adapters and cables we have verified as working in our environment. Results may vary depending on your specific setup and display hardware.
Note 2: When inserting the adapter, ensure it is fully seated into the Mini DisplayPort connector — an incomplete connection is a common cause of no-signal issues.
Note 3: If you see no video output through a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter or cable, verify the product is an Active type before further troubleshooting. Passive HDMI adapters are the most common cause of no-signal reports on these systems.
