How to change the Cluster Network (plug in the wrong slot RDMA2 instead of RDMA3) without downtime in a 2 nodes direct connection

  1. Go to network Connections click on RDMA2
  2. In Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) properties

  1. Write down the IP address, subnet, and Default gateway on a separate paper or notepad

  1. After writing down the step 3, click on obtain an IP address automatically for both DNS
  2. Right click and Disable RDMA2
  3. Do the following steps for both nodesA circuit board

  4. MAKE SURE PULL THE CORRECT CABLE OR ELSE THE CLUSTER WILL GO DOWN (RDMA2 is locate on the left see chart locate on top)
  5. Plug the cable in RDMA3, make sure there is link light to ensure the cable is plug in correctly
  6. In the Network connections, Enable RDMA3
  7. Enter the IP address and subnet for both nodes

  1. After entering the correct IP address and subnet. Failover manager under networks will show
