================================================================================

TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULT, REPORTING SES STATUS OF “UNKNOWN” AT CUSTOMER SITE.

This situation was caused by a multi-master i2c issue when reading the temperature sensors. Multi-master was eliminated in the monitor loop in which the controlling IOM only polls the i2c devices and sends this information via SMP messages to the other IOM.

CUSTOMER REPORTS MISSING 28 DRIVES

Issue is the result of a PMC firmware assert on discovery causing the expander to reset and disable the phys. Firmware was modified to recover cleanly from this reset.

COVER OPEN SCP BEEPS NOT RELIABLE WITH REV C BASEBOARD

The FPGA code for the SCPs was modified to handle cover open signal cleanly.

AFTER A FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD FOLLOWED BY RESET IOM B ENDED UP LOCK DOWNED READ CODE 03H (BAD MIDPLANE VPD)

When bringing up the IOM, only one read of the VPD occurs. If this read fails (in this case a i2c read error), the IOM will go into lockdown. To eliminate this single source of failure, upon a i2c read error of the VPD, the i2c bus is reset and a second attempt at reading VPD is initiated. After a second attempt failure, the IOM will enter into lockdown.

DEFAULT TEMP THRESHOLD CHANGES

Default temp thresholds were changed to be consistent with other products.

DEVOFF ONLY SUPPORTED BY 347 BASED DRIVES.

Changed firmware to only support devoff command for drives with 347 interposers.
